Web Week: A Day of HTML and CSS

Part of our Web Week event, this day focuses on HTML 4 & 5 and CSS.

Desc: An in-depth lecture style training
to enable attendees to have a clear understanding of HTML 4/5 and CSS

CODE Training and EPS Software will be holding an intensive 1-day lecture style
boot-camp on HTML and CSS specifically designed for developers of business applications
who wish to learn and evaluate the latest Microsoft .NET technologies. Attendees
of this class will not just learn how to use HTML and CSS to a point where they can
immediately start to build applications based on these techniques, but they will
also be able to evaluate the impact of these techniques and technologies on their
future development efforts. The training class will be held at our offices in Houston,
Texas as well as online via GoToMeeting. After the class, attendees will receive
the powerpoint slides, the code samples and videos of each class as reference materials.

This comprehensive 1-day class starts at a beginner level, but quickly moves beyond
theory to enable attendees to learn how to write real world web applications using HTML and CSS
(and they will also get to see many real-world examples that showcase the benefits
of such systems).

9:00 – 10:15	HTML 4 & 5 - Part 1 This session will introduce the history of HTML and CSS, what's new with HTML 5 and CSS3, HTML4 Deprecation and HTML 5 browser support
10:15 – 10:30	BREAK
10:30 – 12:00	HTML 4 & 5 - Part 2 In this session we'll discuss how semantic tags, look at Semantic tags, HTML 4 vs. HTML 5, HTML 5 new additions and APIs, video, canvas and more.
12:00 – 13:30	LUNCH BREAK
13:30 – 14:45	CSS - Part 1 Text wrapping, columns opacity, rounded corners and gradients. This session also covers text shadows, fonts, sizing and more.
14:45 – 15:00	BREAK
15:00 – 16:30	HTML 5 and JavaScript Scripting updats, threading, application cache, local database, cam support, new APIs and more.
16:30 – 16:45	BREAK
16:45 – ??	Ask the Experts / Q&A Got questions? Ask the experts and hit the ground running!
