Allegro/Procount Solutions Engineer (Houston, TX)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Analyst with expertise in ProCount and/or Allegro to join our team. The Solutions Analyst will be responsible for working closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and design solutions that leverage ProCount and/or Allegro to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of business operations and IT systems, particularly in the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and document meetings and workshops with internal clients to gather requirements and analyze business needs
- Design, document, and implement solutions that leverage ProCount and/or Allegro to meet business requirements and align with best practices. * Participate in testing, deployment, and support of solutions, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements.
- Analyze and propose enhancements to current business processes, reports, and applications to optimize system effectiveness.
- Coordinate projects and timelines to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Create specifications for new or existing products and generate ideas for new projects.
- Work closely with software engineers and solutions analysts to develop and evaluate procedures, controls, and user requirements.
- Document business data, application, and technology architectures to identify gaps and propose improvements.
- Conduct customer interviews and market/client research to identify requirements, analyze industry trends and gauge end-user satisfaction.
- Produce high-quality consulting deliverables, including proposals, presentations, and reports, to communicate project findings effectively.
- Develop reusable consulting methodology and templates, blueprints, and business cases.
- Provide training and support to users, answering questions, and resolving issues as needed.
Overall, this job involves a combination of technical skills and business analysis, as well as strong communication and project management skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred. High school diploma or GED required. An advanced degree is desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with specific experience working with ProCount and/or Allegro
- Experience configuring and extending Allegro to match requirements
- Understanding of petroleum operations in an Exploration and Production environment preferred.
- Technical skills to create prototypes to solve business problems.
- Experience leading client teams through testing and training exercises, followed by successful cut over for go live
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide user support
- Must have excellent communication, presentation, coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects that involve dealing with vendors, division personnel and IT Team.
- Travel to division offices as needed (20-50%)
