About the Role:
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Android Developer to join our team and collaborate with one of our Fortune 200 oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing cutting-edge mobile applications that enhance efficiency and productivity in the oil and gas sector.
This position requires the candidate to be on-site at our client's office in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end development of high-quality Android applications tailored to the unique needs of the oil and gas industry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and UX/UI designers, to deliver user-centric and intuitive mobile solutions.
Design and implement robust and scalable Android architectures that align with industry best practices.
Provide technical leadership in choosing appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks for Android development.
Ensure seamless data flow and real-time communication by integrating mobile applications with backend systems.
Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement APIs that support mobile functionality.
Optimize Android applications for speed, responsiveness, and efficiency by identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
Uphold high-security standards in mobile applications, adhering to industry-specific compliance requirements.
Stay updated on the latest security trends and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
Maintain code quality and coding standards through regular code reviews.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Android Developer, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered mobile applications.
Expertise in Kotlin and Java programming languages for Android development, with proficiency in Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines.
In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, architecture components, and popular third-party libraries.
Experience with RESTful API integration and proficiency in designing API contracts.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a mobile environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
