Project Rescue

Is your project in trouble? We can help! CODE Consulting brings projects back from the brink of failure. With deep a knowledge process and business to go along with technical knowledge, we are skilled at finding problems and bottlenecks and implementing solutions to get your project back on track. We can't do magic, but most troubled projects are not beyond help. It is usually well worth to spend the time in a short meeting and perform a few hours worth of analysis, for a shot of getting your project back on track.

Is your project in trouble?

Unfortunately, you are not alone. Software projects are among the most complex things businesses undertake and the rate of failure is still very high. Needless to say that the associated expense is significant. But we can help!

CODE Consulting brings projects from the brink of failure. With deep a knowledge process and business to go along with technical knowledge, we are skilled at finding problems and bottlenecks and implementing solutions. Expert outside determinations and opinions are essential when projects are in trouble and need to be turned around. Often there isn't time for guesses.

Troubled projects are never pretty. Rescuing projects is a struggle and a fight. We do not pretend to be able to “just walk in and things will start going swimmingly”. But we do have the know-how and the expertise for a long history of projects to take the appropriate steps and make the right adjustments to put a project back on track.

Engaging CODE for Project Rescue

Projects are in trouble for a variety of reasons (although most follow a handful of common patterns) and there is no single solution. The first step towards rescuing a project thus has to be a conversation and an analysis of what went wrong. Rescue operations thus usually start with a meeting (ideally on-site but it can also be done online) to review how bad the mess is and what its nature appear to be. This then helps us to decide on next steps, which usually includes a detailed technical review of some sort. The next step afterwards (which we usually move towards very swiftly as time is often of the essence) is usually that of taking appropriate corrective action.

Purchase Options

Initial meeting engagements are usually fixed-price for an agreed upon number of hours. Subsequent steps vary and may be time & materials or hourly block based, although they often are also fixed price (such as for a code review). Further steps (if required) are usually handled on a time & materials basis (or perhaps in the form of pre-paid hourly blocks or as service agreements), as projects on the brink of failure are usually in serious disarray, which usually makes it very difficult to estimate tasks until some level of order has been restored.
