Job Title: CygNet SCADA Administrator

About the Role:
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated SCADA Administrator to join our team and collaborate with one of our Fortune 200 oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. As a CygNet SCADA Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our clients’ SCADA systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our SCADA platform, as well as leveraging your scripting and coding expertise to enhance system functionality. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can address challenges, develop and execute plans, and meet project timelines.
This position requires the candidate to be on-site at our client's office in Fort Worth or Corpus Christi.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain multiple SCADA systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
Develop and implement advanced scripting solutions to customize and optimize the SCADA platform.
Assist in the normalization and standardization of large data overhauls to ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement user-friendly SCADA screens.
Monthly travel to client sites (on average 1-4 nights per month) to provide on-site support and assistance.
Act as a self-motivated, self-starter capable of working independently and in a team.
Effectively address technical challenges, formulate plans, and execute them within specified timelines.
Execute intermediate custom scripting to meet project requirements.
Requirements:
Proficiency in scripting and coding, with a focus on VBScript and Python (SQL knowledge is a plus).
Experience with data normalization and standardization processes.
Familiarity with SCADA screen design principles is beneficial.
Familiarity with CygNet or Ignition SCADA systems is beneficial
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel on a regular basis, with occasional overnight stays.
